Dr. Wiggers has successfully built and sold two private optometry practices throughout his career. His most recent practice was Clarity Vision Group in Cumming, Georgia, where he no longer sees patients. After a brief retirement during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Wiggers found himself “optometrically-bored” and worked as a fill-in doctor at several Lenscrafters locations for a couple of years.
Currently, Dr. Wiggers is seeing patients two days a week at Peachy Eyewear. He chose Peachy Eyewear for its reasonable pricing, high-quality control, excellent customer service, and the ability to provide same-day glasses in many cases. This new venture allows him to have a more consistent schedule and provide exceptional care to his patients.
Dr. Wiggers earned his Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University and has been licensed in Georgia since 1998. He moved his family from Indiana to Georgia, attracted by the warm climate, friendly people, and growth opportunities in the area. With three decades of experience in eye care, contact lens fitting, and treatment of eye diseases, Dr. Wiggers is committed to helping patients achieve their best vision. He has built a specialist referral network with top ophthalmology surgeons to ensure excellent continuation of care when needed.
In his spare time, Dr. Wiggers enjoys tinkering with his vintage houseboat on Lake Lanier, classic car shows, home improvement projects, and enjoying life with his spouse of 38 years. He also loves spending time with their two dogs, Della and Reese.
